Experience rural Minnesota, rooted in small farm towns and quiet country roads, along this route, named for a prairie flower that blooms here. The four little towns along the byway—Rose Creek, Adams, Taopi, and LeRoy—have fewer than 3,000 residents combined, keeping the area pastoral and peaceful. Slow down to view the prairie flowers and grasses, and imagine the vast prairie encountered by pioneers more than a hundred years ago. A paved hiking and biking trail follows the former railroad bed to Lake Louise State Park, with a picnic area and swimming beach. Hiking, boating and fishing are popular activities in the park.
